Standard Fire & Special Peril Policy

This insurance policy covers all properties on land (excluding cost of land), moveable or immoveable, at various locations against named perils. Based on the nature of property, special types of policies, for stocks (declaration and floater), building, plant & machinery, are designed.

Features

  • ‘One-risk-one-rate' concept for all properties in an Industrial or Manufacturing Complex.
  • Sum insured is either Reinstatement Value or Market Value ( present day replacement value less depreciation ). Settlement of loss is done accordingly.
  • For RIV-based policy, loss settlement will follow without any depreciation on the replacement/ repairing bills. Physical replacement/ reinstatement of property needs to happen and payment particulars have to be submitted.
  • For market value-based policy, loss settlement will be done on indemnity basis after applying suitable depreciation. Physical replacement is not necessary.

Note: The policy can be extended to cover certain additional perils and expenses at extra premium.
